The votes are in and the winning location for this year's Black Friday Paddle is McInnish Park in Carrollton. This is a beginner friendly paddle. Please read all details carefully.
Location: McInnish Park Boat Ramp off of Sandy Lake Rd, Carollton Texas
Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
We will launch at the recently repaired McInnish put in (it is not really a boat ramp anymore) and paddle up the Elm Fork to Denton Creek, we will have lunch on shore at the hidden lake, then continue our paddle up Denton Creek, then back to the take out at McInnish.
Rental boats are available for this event for $45 per person (vest and paddle included). No charge for those with their own equipment, though a tip for the guide is always nice. Reserve rentals using the link:
If you need a rental you must reserve and either prepay using the link or call to make other arrangements before 2PM on Thanksgiving or we cannot promise to have your boat choice on the trailer.
Wear: shoes that can get wet (you will have to step into the water to get in and out of your boat). Clothes that can get wet. (We hope no one takes a swim, but it is best to be prepared with dry clothing or an extra jacket). Hat, and sunscreen.
Bring: Water to drink, sack lunch to carry in your boat, extra dry clothes, extra dry shoes.
If you have your own equipment a PFD is required and you must wear it at all times you are on the water.
