5:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Time: 5:30 PM Paddes wet 6PM
Richard Simpson Park
6300 W. Arkansas Lane, Arlington, TX
Join us for an amazing Halloween on the water with the mystic convergence of All Hallows Eve and the Hunter's Moon which is a Blue Moon. On this paddle trip we hope to enjoy the moon and a spooky Halloween trip.
We will have a contest for best costume incorporating your PFD and Best Decorated boat. Everyone will get an individually wrapped Halloween treat--though I may have a few tricks too!
We will do it at Lake Arlington leaving from Richard Simpson Park to explore some of my favorite spooky spots on the other side of the lake.
Arrival 5:30 PM, Launch 6PM.
$45 per person for boat, vest, lights, and snacks. We have both singles and tandem boats available (and a canoe) (same price per person). No experience necessary. This is a guided trip with an ACA certified Instructor Guide. Wear water-friendly shoes (You WILL get your feet wet) and clothing or swim wear that can get wet.
Masks or social distancing required while on shore.
When you arrive you will have 30 minutes to set your boat and costume. Judging will occur on the island during the break, where you will have time to touch up your look (though water worthiness and ability to survive the crossing do count). We will paddle to the island during sunset, then land at the island for treats and costume/boat decoration judging, then paddle out to discover spooky spots on the water.
IMPORTANT: Rental spots are limited as we no longer have storage at the lake and are limited to the boats we can carry in. Pre-pay to reserve your spot using the link below. You MUST leave a contact number if you are renting or if you need lights. Rental customers get priority off the waitlist once the event is full so let us know if you are renting.
Also, if you are running late you must call to let us know, as once we move the boat trailers to the parking area we can no longer access boats for the trip.
If you have your own boat and lights, $10 launch fee (paid to the park). If you have a boat, but need to rent lights, they are $5. Snack and water is $5.
