Annual Black Friday Paddle: McInnish Park

Every year we escape the hustle and bustle of Black Friday and the shopping craze with a dip into nature by paddling somewhere on the river. Thus year the winner is McInnish Park. We will explore the Elm Fork and Denton Creek and have lunch at Hidden Lake.

Discover the Fort Worth Christmas lights from the tranquility of the Trinity River. while we create our own parade of lights from kayak, canoe, and SUP. Lets see how many lit boats we can get on the river!

Finish Christmas with a day on the water followed by a hike or bike of the trails. We will meet at the Frasier Dam Recreation area at 10:00AM. We will paddle out to the main channel of the Trinity River and turn up the river for a mile or two, then return to the rec area for a picnic lunch. Walnut Creek Cleanup Paddle

Explore one of our favorite paddling trails off the Trinity by participating in our Adopt-a-Stream cleanup with Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful. This is a chance to paddle Walnut Creek, a Texas Parks and Wildlife Paddle Trail and help the environment at the same time. Best of all--it's free and includes lunch!

The Dallas Ribbon Cutting Ceremony honoring the Trinity River National Water Trail through Dallas is scheduled to take place Saturday June 25, at Trammell Crow Park with an optional paddle on the river to follow.
